Resources

Knowledge worth sharing

Human–animal scholarship is dispersed across disciplines, institutions, countries and professional communities. AHASE aims to make some of this knowledge easier to find, particularly resources that are relevant to African contexts and to the diverse realities of human–animal relationships.

For now, we are beginning by bringing together resources that researchers, students, educators and practitioners may find useful.

Focus

African Scholarship

A particular focus of AHASE is making scholarship emerging from African contexts more visible and more connected.

We are interested in research that reflects the social, cultural, ecological and historical contexts in which human–animal relationships unfold across the continent.

This collection is still developing.
