What is AHASE?

A network for people, knowledge and opportunity

AHASE — African Human Animal Scholarship Exchange — is a network connecting people, knowledge and opportunities related to the shared worlds of humans and other animals in African contexts.

What we value

A broad and inclusive understanding

The platform recognises the breadth of human–animal inquiry, encompassing diverse perspectives on human–animal interactions, animal welfare and ethics, health and wellbeing, conservation, companion and working animals, animals in research and education, multispecies scholarship, and the social, cultural, environmental and ecological contexts in which humans and other animals live.
